Our Art

Jason's Photography on Wood Panels

These beautiful prints on wood panels were the start of J. MacIsaac Studios. Jason began shooting scenes from around Roslyn, WA in the summer of 2014. He was looking for an interesting way to display and market his photos that would interest the tourists in the area. We began making these prints on wood in postcard size to sell at a local gift shop. They received a great response so soon we added a larger wall hanging size to our collection. When we made the decision to leave Roslyn and travel around the country for a while, the Nomadic Art Project became our focus and the project became a family affair. It is then that J. MacIsaac Studios was born.

As we traveled we documented our trip and the beautiful scenery. We sold our images in gift shops along our route and in our Etsy shop. When we landed in Knoxville, TN we eventually decided to settle back down.

In Knoxville, Jennifer partnered with a long time friend to open The Basement Community Art Studio. The Basement was a studio open to the community, it offered classes and open studio sessions for creative exploration. Given more space to spread out,  Jen soon began producing more of her own art which was then folded into the J. MacIsaac Studios umbrella.

Jennifer's Paintings

Jennifer is influenced by images of vintage fashion and icons from the past, as well as dance and circus performers. She enjoys combining the loose and flowing style of alcohol ink, watercolor, and acrylic pours with the more structured character images.

Sharing Art With Others

Jen also discovered that she truly loved the process of art, she found it to be calming and meditative. She enjoys sharing this type of art with others and helping them to foster their own inner creativity. She has spent the last several years teaching students of all ages to embrace the process of their art through creative play. She has enjoyed teaching... so the next phase of J. MacIsaac Studios will soon begin to unfold.
